Terms of Use

The short version: Ez3D is a tool for designing parts. It does not check whether your part is safe or strong enough for its job, that part is up to you. Use it freely, do not abuse it, and understand that you are responsible for what you make and how you use it.

1. Acceptance

By using the Ez3D website or web app at ez3d.app ("Ez3D"), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use Ez3D.

2. What Ez3D is

Ez3D is a browser-based design tool for creating 3D models for printing. It runs on your device, with a free tier and an optional one-time Pro upgrade. We may add, change, or remove features over time.

Important: you are responsible for your designs and prints. Ez3D helps you draw shapes and produce model files. It does not, and cannot, guarantee that a part you design is strong enough, safe, accurate, or suitable for any particular use. You alone are responsible for verifying that anything you design, print, and use is fit and safe for its purpose, especially for any part that bears a load, holds weight, is used in a vehicle, tool, or machine, or could cause injury or damage if it fails. When in doubt, test it, over-build it, or have it reviewed by a qualified professional.

3. Your designs are yours

You keep all rights to the parts and files you create with Ez3D. We claim no ownership of your designs. Because your work stays on your device, we have no copy of it.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use Ez3D to design anything illegal, or any item intended to harm people;
copy, resell, rent, or redistribute the Ez3D software itself, or try to defeat the Pro licensing;
attempt to disrupt, attack, or gain unauthorized access to the service;
use Ez3D to infringe someone else's intellectual property.

Designing your own parts for your own personal or commercial use is fine and encouraged. The restriction is on misusing or redistributing the tool, not on the parts you make with it.

5. Ez3D Pro, payment, and refunds

Ez3D Pro is a one-time purchase that unlocks additional features. It is not a subscription. Purchases are processed by Lemon Squeezy as our Merchant of Record, and their checkout terms also apply to the transaction. A Pro license may be activated on a limited number of devices.

If Pro is not what you expected, we offer a refund within 14 days of purchase. Just email John@gandsinc.com and we will take care of it.

6. Third-party software and services

Ez3D is built on open-source components and uses Lemon Squeezy for payments and licensing. Your use of those services is also subject to their respective terms.

7. No warranty

Ez3D is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the tool will be error-free, uninterrupted, or that any model or file it produces will be correct, watertight, printable, or suitable for any use.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Ez3D and its owner will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, profits, property, or for any injury or damage, arising out of or related to your use of Ez3D or anything you design, print, or use. This includes damages resulting from a part that fails, is mis-sized, or is otherwise unfit. Where liability cannot be excluded by law, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us for Ez3D, if any, in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Indemnification

You agree to hold Ez3D and its owner harmless from any claims or costs arising out of your use of Ez3D, the parts you make with it, or your breach of these terms.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows the latest version, and continued use after a change means you accept the updated terms.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules.
